Bad Ass Academy Brought Home The Gold

Bad Ass Academy brought home the gold in the 2013 High Rock Challenge. This Challenge Adventure Race, held in memory of NYPD Officer John Kelly, began in 2001 when the New York Adventure Racing Association (NYARA) partnered with the Greenbelt Conservancy and New York City Parks to present the Greenbelt’s inaugural trail-running event. This is a two-member team race where runners must stay together at all times and compete in several mystery challenges, which are located throughout the 10-K course. With challenges not being revealed until race day, these teams must be physically prepared to overcome any obstacle in their way. With over 1,400 registered runners on race day, Bad Ass Team members Peter Rivera & Johnny Tieu of Bad Ass Academy took first place with an astonishing record breaking time of 01:02:40.8.

We are honored to have Peter & Johnny as part of the Bad Ass Team. We are more excited, however, to have them as role models and trainers for all of our members at Bad Ass Academy. Continue doing an amazing job Gentlemen, and once again– congratulations!!!
